Kids who get regular meals during the school year may often be going without food for much of the day during the summer.Fighting that is the goal of an effort to help the Boys and Girls Clubs get nutritious, easy-to-make meals to local kids in need.
Friendly Chevrolet and Hy-Vee are teaming up with 98.7 WNNS for the “Backpacks 4 Hungry Kids” effort.
You can help by purchasing a $10, pre-packaged bag of food at Hy-Vee on South MacArthur that will be distributed to kids until school resumes late next month.
